In addition to the workshops, ORDER will consult The Man Cave as it enters into the gaming and esports space. This includes hosting a Twitch community combining gaming with resources to help and educate young men on the importance of mental health.

Al Green, Head of Community at The Man Cave, spoke on the deal: “We work with thousands of young men every year, and we know how important gaming and online communities are for them. The Man Cave is an organisation that chooses to see the greatness in the young men we work with, and we’re really excited to be partnering with ORDER to ensure that all young people can have enjoyable and meaningful gaming and online experiences.”

In January 2022, ORDER rebranded with a new logo and jersey design in a bid to ‘open up fresh possibilities’. Since the rebrand, the organisation has partnered with the Australian and Victorian Governments to host an invitational Rocket League tournament featuring teams from Australia and the Middle East.

Marc Edwards, CEO of ORDER, added: “There’s no time like the present to start the conversation about mental and physical wellbeing and we have been looking for ways to enrich our teams and our organisation as a whole.

“We are the first professional esports team in Australia to implement a program that will not only look at how our teams best work together – high performance culture – but individual mental wellbeing, including nutrition and fitness, financial education, and involving parents so they fully understand the players’ career paths and how best to support their child.”

Esports Insider says: Awareness of mental health and wellbeing in the esports space is slowly growing. With ORDER and The Man Cave joining forces for a number of new initiatives, the partnership is a great opportunity to further increase awareness and to support young men.
