Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has announced that its Head of Esports Brandon Snow will depart the company at the end of February, according to a report by the Sports Business Journal.
Snow has been part of Activision Blizzard since March 2018. He first joined the company as its Chief Revenue Officer for brand, media and esports partnerships.

Snow was promoted to his current role in July 2021, overseeing the Overwatch League (OWL) and Call of Duty League (CDL) as a result. He took over from Johanna Faries, who started focusing exclusively on the development of the next Call of Duty game as a General Manager.
Before joining Activision Blizzard in 2018, Snow was serving as a Senior VP for Team Marketing & Business Operations at the National Basketball Association (NBA). During his time with the games publisher, Snow also led negotiations to bring on brands like Coca-Cola for the Overwatch League.
It’s also reported that while the company is looking to replace Snow, its Chief Administrative Officer Brian Bulatao will take on many of the role’s responsibilities. Moreover, Bulatao will form a leadership team with VP of League Administration Matt Kliszewski, VP of Global Brand Marketing Kristin Connelly and Head of Global Partnerships Jack Harari.
Head of OWL Sean Miller and GM of CoD Esports Daniel Tsay will lead day-to-day operations for the OWL and CDL, respectively, and will report to Kliszewski.

Earlier this year, Microsoft agreed to acquire Activision Blizzard in a deal that is valued at $68.7bn (~£50.5bn). Microsoft also said both entities will continue to operate independently until the transaction closes.
Esports Insider says: After four years at Activision Blizzard, Brandon Snow is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity. It will be interesting to see who will step up to the role after Snow’s departure and whether Microsoft will have a say in the decision. As for Snow, there is no doubt that he will find a new organisation to call home considering his years of experience.
