Fortnite Chapter 7: Everything we know and all the speculation

News has started to leak about Fortnite Chapter 7, with the community doing its best Sherlock Holmes impression to decipher cryptic clues given to content creators. With Fortnite releasing details of how it will end Chapter 6 and start Chapter 7, it seems that the community has put on an elementary performance in deciphering the clues. Many theories have been confirmed, as of November 21, although some leaks remain unofficial.

This news comes after the introduction of The Simpsons Fortnite, filling in as a mini chapter between Chapter 6 and 7. It’s a massive IP to fill in between seasons, and the hope is that something even bigger is coming for the new season. Epic Games has also confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 7 will start on November 30.

We can also expect Fortnite Chapter 7 to close out 2025 with a bang, given how much has been leaked thus far. There are some eye-popping collaborations with massive IPs, new gameplay features that could shift how Fortnite is played, and intriguing storylines seeing the return of some of the game’s most interesting, original characters.

With that said, let’s take a look and decipher the teasers for the new Fortnite season thus far.

The top Fortnite creator, NickEh30, has revealed a teaser sent to him by Fortnite on X. It’s a short, 19-second video that’s rather cryptic, but there’s a lot of information packed into not a lot of words.

This included the Signal Origins coordinates, Q&U, and the title: Fortnite After Dark. The date shown for the one-day early access, November 19, also proved to be the date that Fortnite would drop even more information for the later stages of Chapter 6 and the start of Chapter 7.

On X, Fortnite dropped a teaser for Zero Hour, the live event that will end Chapter 6 and its storylines. This will take place on November 29, with another post confirming that Fortnite Chapter 7 will begin the day after, on November 30. Thus far, the information shown has confirmed many theories regarding the teaser from NickEh30.

The coordinates for the Signal Origin (34.134117 N, 118.321495 W) point to Los Angeles, more specifically Hollywood. This implies that there could be an American-themed map for Fortnite Chapter 7, with skins and iconography from the best US films. This is backed by the Q&U phrase and Fortnite after dark phrases.

Pointed out by Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR on X, Q&U is what Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman credited themselves as in Kill Bill. With the Kill Bill Vol.1 and Vol.2 re-releases (called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair) coming on December 5, The Bride being added for Fortnite Chapter 7 seems a good fit, considering its late-November release date. 

The speculation of Kill Bill’s inclusion was confirmed by the official Fortnite X account. The artwork, included with the November 30 release date, shows The Bride and Yuki, one of her famous adversaries. The ‘Lost Chapter’ is titled: Yuki’s Revenge, Fortnite After Dark, although this won’t be where we see the Bride First. 

The Bride was shown in the Fortnite Zero Hour teaser, and while she took a backseat role to everything else going on in the trailer, it’s clear that Tarantino will be involved in a larger capacity, as many have theorised. 

Again, on X, Fortnite showed its collaborative work with Tarantino through an edit, and it could mean there is more to come in terms of collaborations with the legendary director. Considering that he often has cameos in his own movies, Tarantino having his own skin could be on the cards for Fortnite Chapter 7.

According to another leaker on X, SamLeakss, Hollywood isn’t the only one getting involved for Fortnite Chapter 7. With Chapter 7 looking at a likely November 29 release date, it isn’t known when each of these leaked collaborations will come in the chapter, but they are as follows:

If Fortnite wasn’t already considered the Avengers of pop culture, this chapter will surely consolidate that status. Back to the Future makes sense to carry on the Hollywood theme, and while Harry Potter is the most controversial on the list, its status as a Christmas film series in the UK makes its addition to Fortnite Chapter 7 timely.

Another leaker and popular dataminer, X0XLEAK, revealed that Chapter 7 will have an Arena 51 and Casino POI, with the map having a partial Nevada theme. It doesn’t seem like we’ll get anything as odd as the Skibidi Toilet Fortnite launch, but that’s probably for the best.

While it’s difficult to see too much from the teaser, Fortnite has also shown snippets of its new, USA-themed map for Chapter 7, confirming the many theories prior to the reveal. We can’t see anything that screams Area 51, Casino, or Nevada, although the film effect does imply there’s more to the Hollywood theme.

As leaked by dataminer NotPalo on X on November 9, Fortnite Chapter 7 will allegedly include new features to shake up the tried-and-tested gameplay. This will involve having a new mechanic that will allow players to self-revive. 

While that would ordinarily be big news in itself, this will be taken a step further with drivable Reboot Vans, which are reportedly scheduled to be added in December. This will make the revival dynamic in Fortnite more interesting and could change how teams approach reviving their allies.

A Reboot Van can be driven away from an enemy to prevent them from bringing back their allies. There is even a chance that these Reboot Vans can be destroyed, given that they will be operable vehicles, although there’s little new beyond this leak.

In the comments section, NatPalo stated that they were told little, but that the self-revive mechanic could work “similar to Apex Legends or Warzone, like a token.” NatPalo also prefaced that they weren’t “sure about that”, so there are still as many questions as answers.

It was also leaked by ShiinaBR on X (November 20), through a creator event, that there will be even more new and somewhat wacky features to Chapter 7. Some confirm the prior leaks, like Back to the Future and Drivable Reboot Vans, and are as follows:

With it being Fortnite Chapter 7, and that ‘seven’ was spelt out in letters, not words, there are theories that this could mark a return of the game’s heroic organisation, The Seven. They aren’t to be confused with The Seven that are a part of The Boys comics and series, although it wouldn’t be surprising if we got Homelander in Fortnite at some point.

While this could have just been a coincidence, Mark Rein, co-founder of Epic Games, took to X to add fuel to the fire in a playful manner:

Everyone met this post with appropriate levels of suspicion, since ‘seven’ was once again written in letters, rather than using its number. Every other number in a ten-second countdown was written as a number, further lending credence to the initial theories spawned from the teaser.

With Zero Hour, there’s a chance that this will be the last we see of Chapter 6’s overarching antagonist, the Dark Presence, at least for some time. He is more than likely the one everyone is teaming up to defeat, Avengers style, in the Zero Hour trailer, leaving room for a fresh start with the Seven in Fortnite Chapter 7.

With Kill Bill already confirmed for Fortnite next season, Tarantino is clearly going to have his fingerprints all over Chapter 7 with its potential Hollywood theme. Tarantino himself has already contributed to Fortnite’s social media posts, and it could be interesting to see what else he adds to the game, if anything else.

Using Chapter 6 as an example, Tarantino’s involvement could only be the start of the Hollywood takeover. Chapter 6 had a ludicrous amount of high-calibre collaborations, from K-Pop Demon Hunters to Power Rangers, and Star Wars.

Pair this with all the other leaked collabs with massive IPs, like Harry Potter and SpongeBob, and Fortnite Chapter 7 could be one of the biggest yet. Fortnite itself is becoming a hive of pop culture collaboration, and it feels like there’s no limit to who can turn up next.

Then, there’s how the game will mechanically change with the potential self-revivies and mobile Reboot Vans. This could have a massive impact on the game’s meta and strategies, while the reintroduction of The Seven could be a huge storyline peaking through all the Hollywood and other colossal collaborations the game has in store. Fortnite Chapter 7 is promising a lot, and the hope is that this promise is fulfilled.
