BLAST has cited that Immortals Gaming Club decided to sell its slot and a ‘highly competitive bidding process’ was undertaken. According to BLAST, there was interest from a number of esports and CS:GO organisations, but the slot was ultimately secured by Heroic. Financial details were not disclosed

After reaching out to MIBR, the organisation has confirmed that it will still participate in the BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022 tournament.

Charlotte Kenny, Managing Director of BLAST Premier, commented: “We thank MIBR for being one of our partners for the last two years. Their renowned and passionate Brazilian fanbase have ensured there’s never been a dull moment, even when we had to pivot to online-only shows in 2020.

“We’re delighted to welcome on board Heroic, they’ve proven through their performances on the server over the last few years, that they belong alongside the world’s elite of Counter-Strike. Their impressive showing at last year’s Fall Final in Copenhagen highlights what they will add to our tournaments.”

Immortals Gaming Club was one of the original BLAST Premier Member Teams and has played in the tournament circuit since its launch in February 2020. Prior to Heroic, the most lastest addition to BLAST’s membership programme was Berlin International Gaming (BIG) in 2021.
