Marvel Rivals Venom’s Bubble Pop: What’s included, and is it worth it?

Venom’s Bubble Pop is a fun, limited-time event currently available in Marvel Rivals. As the name suggests, the event revolves around Venom cosmetics, but this is only the case for the premium version. There aren’t any Venom-themed cosmetics available in the free version of the event, but there are still plenty of enjoyable cosmetic items to earn for free. 

Let’s take a closer look at Venom’s Bubble Pop event to see exactly what players can get for free and what is included in the paid premium version. 

Players can unlock a range of cosmetics by completing challenges during the Venom’s Bubble Pop event. It is similar to a battle pass in this way, though on a much smaller scale. There are only two tiers in this event: free and premium. 

To obtain the rewards in the free tier, players only need to play the game and complete certain missions. The same missions must be completed to unlock the free and premium tier rewards. 

Those who want the rewards in the paid-for tier need to pay 490 Lattice to unlock it. 500 Lattice costs $4.99, so if you don’t have any leftover Lattice, this is how much it will cost to unlock the paid-for version of the event. 

Here are the items that are included as rewards in the Venom’s Bubble Pop event. A side note is that all these missions can be completed in Competitive, Quick Match, or Practice VS. AI.

There are seven rewards to earn without having to spend any money; therefore, the Venom Bubble Pop event is definitely worth it. The free version doesn’t have any of the actual Venom content that the event is marketed around, though, and it’s important to keep that in mind if you don’t want to pay for the premium version. That being said, 490 Lattice isn’t too astronomical a price, especially when compared to other live service games, such as Overwatch 2. 

Players can get several rewards without paying a penny with the free tier. All they have to do is dedicate some time to completing missions. The rewards aren’t just the smaller cosmetics either, as emotes and a skin are included. Even if the cosmetics are items for heroes that you don’t play as often, or if you aren’t particularly into cosmetics, it’s hard not to turn down free content. 

It’s a little bit irritating that the content marketed in this event has to be paid for, but only because this wasn’t confirmed until the event began. It’s a pretty reasonable price for what you get, as the premium tier includes emoji bundles, a skin, and an emote, along with a spray and a nameplate. There’s also a costume coin, so players can choose another skin for a different hero. 

The pink Venom themes surrounding the event are definitely fun and might attract those who don’t even play the character that much. The costume coin alone could also be an incentive for players to purchase the premium tier. That being said, the premium tier is still very much aimed at Venom fans more than anyone else. 

All in all, the Marvel Rivals Venom’s Bubble Pop Event is a limited-time reward system that is worth taking part in. If you aren’t a Venom player, you probably won’t find much of a reason to purchase the premium tier, unless you are desperate for that costume coin or the emojis. 

The bubblegum pink nature of the cosmetics could be enough to sway you, though, Venom main or not. The premium tier isn’t too costly for what you get, but even with just the free tier, there are a lot of enjoyable cosmetics for players to get their hands on with this event.
