TL;DR

  • The next VALORANT agent (codenamed “Agent 30”) is expected to be revealed during the VCT Masters Santiago grand finals and released with Season V26, Act Two.
  • Teasers suggest that the agent is from Croatia and may have sound-based ability-amplifying mechanics.
  • Leaks suggest that the new VALORANT agent may be able to heal both allies and enemies.
  • The new agent’s role hasn’t been confirmed, but they’re likely to be a Controller or an Initiator.

It’s been a while since VALORANT welcomed its 28th agent, Veto. His introduction was nothing short of disruptive, with players hailing him as “broken” the moment his trailer dropped. But now, it’s time for a new roster addition — but who is the next VALORANT agent?

In this guide, we’ll share everything we know about the speculated release of Agent 30.

Who is the next VALORANT agent?

Based on the VCT Masters Santiago cinematic trailer, the next VALORANT agent appears to be Agent 30.

Technically, Agent 30 would debut as the game’s 29th playable character. This odd numbering stems from the VALORANT Protocol’s agent naming system, which notably skips Agent 8, a figure confirmed missing in the game’s lore.

VALORANT Agent 30 leaks

Although Riot has yet to pull back the curtain on Agent 30’s appearance, we can already decode a lot about the new VALORANT agent from teasers and leaks, including their origin, potential abilities, and more.

For starters, Agent 30 appears to originate from Croatia, based on the coordinates briefly shown in the VCT Masters Santiago cinematic trailer. These coordinates point to Zagreb, the country’s capital city.

Agent 30’s origin and voice were also teased in a mid-Act cinematic trailer, which shows Sage attempting to heal Reyna after Omega Earth’s attack, as the new VALORANT agent’s voice urges her not to give up.

Another teaser for Agent 30 is included in the Season V26, Act One Battle Pass: the “Amplify” player card. This player card came with a codename, “SonicAlchemy,” hinting at potential sound-based healing abilities.

Additionally, the VALORANT dataminer @valohabercisi on X discovered a game string referencing both “Enemies healed” and “Allies healed,” suggesting the next VALORANT agent may have the unusual ability to heal opponents.

What are the VALORANT new agent abilities?

At the time of writing, Riot has not yet revealed Agent 30’s ability kit.

However, given all the leaks and teasers so far, it’s speculated that Agent 30 may have sound-based amplification abilities. One of their abilities may offer an AoE healing effect that affects both allies and enemies, something we haven’t seen in VALORANT before.

We haven’t had a new smokes agent since Clove’s launch in March 2024, so it’s only natural that fans are expecting a new Controller this time. That said, based on the hints so far, Agent 30 could just as easily turn out to be an Initiator — or even a pseudo-Initiator Controller like Harbor.

When is the next VALORANT agent coming out?

At the time of writing, Riot hasn’t confirmed the official VALORANT next agent release date. However, it’s possible to make an informed guess.

Considering that Agent 30’s coordinates were teased in the event trailer, the new character will likely be revealed during the VCT Masters Santiago grand finals on March 15, 2026. Notably, new VALORANT agents typically arrive a day or two after the reveal, which aligns with the launch of Season V26, Act Two.

Accordingly, Agent 30 is expected to go live on March 18, 2026.

How often does VALORANT release new agents?

Riot typically releases two to three new VALORANT agents per year. As a result, players can expect a new VALORANT agent to drop every two to three Acts, which works out to roughly every two to four months depending on Riot’s update schedule.

Conclusion

As the wait continues, speculation about the next VALORANT agent is only growing stronger.

While Riot hasn’t officially confirmed the next VALORANT agent release date, all signs point to a reveal during the VCT Masters Santiago grand finals on March 15, followed by a launch alongside Season V26, Act Two on March 18.

According to teasers and leaks, Agent 30 appears to hail from Croatia and may feature AoE healing mechanics and ability-amplifying capabilities. Their role remains unknown, but there’s a strong chance they’ll be either a controller or an initiator.

Whatever the case may be, the next VALORANT agent is almost certain to shake up the competitive landscape, stir the meta, and force players to adapt once again.
