PGL Esports has forged a partnership with Cobx Gaming with the aim of growing the esports scene in India. The companies will work together to co-produce international events.

PGL Esports typically deals in event organisation, studio and video production, and TV and online streaming for international esports. It has typically worked in popular esports such as Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, organising events such as the Manila Major, Boston Major, and Kiev Major – all for Dota 2.

Cobx Gaming has already done some work in India, helping to organise online tournaments – it also announced the Cobx Masters 2018 in February. The Cobx Masters 2018 is a South-East Asian tournament that’ll be help in India, taking place across both Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Silviu Stroie, CEO, PGL discussed the partnership: “PGL’s reputation hinges on its commitment to bring fans around the world the best esports content. We know how passionate the Indian fanbase is and we aim to write our own page in the esports story of this part of the world. We can only hope we will live up the expectations that our partners at Cobx and the Indian community has for us.”

Rajdip Gupta, Founder, Cobx Gaming also commented: “We are excited to be working together and aim towards combining our efforts in realising, to bring forth quality esports that deserves to be seen and experienced in all its greatness and intensity.”

Esports Insider: One country you don’t typically hear a lot about when it comes to esports is India, so it’s nice to see both PGL and Cobx have high aspirations for the country. Fingers crossed that with this new partnership they can help the country catch up with others that are more prominent in the industry.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
