Dato’ Ahmad Zaharul, Founder of Axis Esports discussed the deal in a release: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with the experienced international team of ESPL. This partnership represents a pivotal moment in the growth of esports in Malaysia. Axis has strong relationships with stakeholders of the esports industry – including the esports community and globally popular games. We also have the infrastructure and experience in organizing events and tournaments locally.”

Esports Players League is set to run from February to December 2020 across 16 countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Official details surrounding the tournament are set to be announced in the near future.

Michael Broda, CEO of Esports Players League commented on the partnership with eGG Network: “The popularity of esports continues to grow at an accelerated rate because it’s not an elite sport that has the potential to discriminate. It’s global and for everyone, connecting all of the continents. With our valued partners, eGG and Astro, we have extensive geographical coverage, enabling us to further grow our international esports ecosystem in this exciting phase of the esports industry.”

Owned by Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, eGG network broadcasts to eight countries in Southeast Asia. It’s reported to be broadcasting over 2,000 hours of live esports content on an annual basis.

Esports Insider says: It’s hard to say how we think ESPL will fare considering a lot of the details are yet to be disclosed. We expect more partnership announcements to be on the horizon, and the quality of those who sign with the league will be rather telling about the reception it’ll get from the jump.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
