The Belgian and Dutch leagues will be run by events and broadcasting company 4Entertainment in cooperation with Riot Games. With six teams locked in, the first match of the league commences on January 21st – just one day after its Belgian counterpart.
The Dutch League serves as the pathway for Dutch players and teams to progress from the national to European level as part of Riot Games’ European infrastructure. The competition will mirror the LEC format of Spring and Summer Splits, with the overall victor progressing to the European Masters as the representative of the Dutch region.

With both leagues engaging in some healthy competition and banter on Twitter, they will be looking to make their mark on the domestic level ahead of the European Masters coming around.
OMEN by HP is already active in esports, maintaining partnerships with the likes of BIG, Astralis, Origen, and Cloud9.
Esports Insider says: OMEN by HP has certainly put its chips down on the these newly-separated Benelux competitions. It’s great to see this kind of interest from brands in the region considering it has produced some top League of Legends talent in the past.
