Rich Hope, Chief Marketing Officer of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, commented in a release: “The passion of Team Liquid players and fans for the game – and the Jersey Mike’s brand – blew us away. We are convinced the esports industry will continue to grow exponentially, and look forward to partnering with Team Liquid for another three years.”

According to a release, all of Team Liquid’s rosters will participate in the creation of branded content with Jersey Mike’s. The program will span multiple initiatives, including a ‘Jersey Thursdays’ promotion in which the team gives away a jersey and a $50 (£38.21) Jersey Mike’s gift certificate, as well as meal discounts for tournament wins and ‘Sub Bombs’ via the Jersey Mike’s account on Twitch.

Team Liquid and Jersey Mike’s will activate this weekend with a “co-branded experience” at the West Los Angeles restaurant location next to Riot Games’ LCS Arena to mark the start of the LCS season.

Steve Arhancet, Co-CEO of Team Liquid, also commented:“We’re excited to continue building on our partnership with Jersey Mike’s and proud to announce a three-year renewal. Last year showed us all that Team Liquid and Jersey Mike’s is a winning combination, not only for filling our bellies but also for giving back to fans. ‘Subs for Dubs’ has become a chant of tradition at our League of Legends games and we can’t wait to unveil the thoughtful collaborations we have in store, both IRL and online.”

Esports Insider says: You can’t beat “Subs for Dubs.” It was already a lighthearted and entertaining partnership in year one, and it sounds like the partners have much more in store for the next three years.
