This partnership is a continuation of the long-standing working relationship between OpTic Gaming Founder and Chicago Huntsmen CEO, Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez.

Juergen Stark, CEO of Turtle Beach, commented on the partnership in a release: “Hector’s passion for gaming, his ability to create first class, dominant esports organizations, and his engagement with fans are why we love working with him and why we’re excited about this new partnership with the Chicago Huntsmen. Hector is a pioneer in our industry, as well as a loyal and forward thinking partner and we can’t wait to collaborate with him on future product innovations and activations with the Chicago Huntsmen players, staff, content producers and fans.”

Turtle Beach is the first sponsor of the Chicago Huntsmen to be announced. The franchise is one of 12 teams that is set to compete in the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League, a geolocated league for the first-person shooter franchise.

H3CZ also discussed the deal: “What can I say? Turtle Beach has been a great partner over the years, so as I build another winning organization with the Huntsmen it’s important that they have the very best equipment. Turtle Beach has been a part of my life in gaming since the very beginning, and I’m excited we get to continue stacking up more wins and creating more amazing content together.”

Esports Insider says: Turtle Beach continuing its involvement with H3CZ doesn’t come as a huge surprise given their past history. We expect this to be one of several partnerships for the franchise that will be revealed throughout the year as H3CZ’ reputation is still among the highest across all figures in the industry.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
