Atalanta Esports was formed in February 2020 by Atalanta B.C. in collaboration with Italian competitive gaming tournament space Esport Palace and Milan-based technology store and bespoke PC outlet, Ak Informatica. The organisation was created specifically to compete in Lega Serie A’s FIFA 20 league, eSerie A, which was also revealed in February.

Two Atalanta Esports teams were formed to compete in FIFA 20 and PES 2020, respectively. Team captains are Antonio “ProRope72” Mincione for PES 2020 and Jacopo “JC_STUNNER_90” Crocchia on the FIFA 20 team.

Both Atalanta Esports teams are based out of Esport Palace, where they plan to host competitions and fan meet-and-greet sessions.

Logitech G has entered or extended a number of esports partnerships globally this year, including Australian esports organisation ORDER, G2 Esports out of Berlin, Ukrainian organisation Natis Vincere, and South Korean team T1.

Esports Insider says: Logitech G is clearly reaching for new users not only in the world of esports but crossover audiences like racing (McLaren) and football (Atalanta). This is especially apparent from the company’s recent partnership with furniture manufacturer, Herman Miller. Such partnerships are mutually beneficial; allowing both parties to reach demographics not normally associated with their brands.
