Ekaterina Goncharova, Head of Internet Marketing at MegaFon, commented in a release: “We are happy to open up new digital opportunities for our important audience—esports, who value technology and communication quality. Continuing our immersion in the world of esports, in which MegaFon was one of the pioneer brands, we strive to create spectacular moments for fans and surprise them with interesting activities—all this is waiting for the audience of Beyond Epic.”

Beyond Epic is a $250,000 (£198,543) competition that spans separate tournaments in Europe/CIS and China. The event is currently in the midst of group stage competition ahead of playoffs and finals that will be held from June 25-28th.

MegaFon is dubbed “The Fastest Partner of Beyond Epic.” The company’s “Without Overpayments” tagline will be featured in a “Cosplay Without Overpayments” interactive promotion, in which viewers can vote on the best costume recreation of a Dota 2 character. The winner will receive an iPhone 11 Pro smartphone.

Sergey Barkhudaryan, Commercial Director of ESforce Holding, added: “The esports community is very demanding about internet speed and quality of communication, which is why MegaFon’s involvement in esports is so valuable. Our joint projects have already found a response in the hearts of esports fans and received prestigious awards from the expert community. We are excited to be writing a new collaborative chapter in the digital world of Beyond Epic!”

Esports Insider says: MegaFon is one of the largest Russian mobile providers, so this is a strong non-endemic sponsor for Beyond Epic, a unique collaboration between these notable tournament operators. The partnership between ESforce property Virtus.pro and MegaFon from 2018 is worth noting, perhaps.
