Philadelphia Fusion will utilise the gaming chair during both competition and practice, though the length and financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed at the time of writing. As well as Herman Miller, the Comcast Spectacor-owned franchise is also partnered with Statespace’s Aim Lab, CommScope, and Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.

Tucker Roberts, President of Philadelphia Fusion, spoke on the deal in a release: “The Fusion are always looking for new technology and best-in-class equipment to ensure our esports players stay at the top of their game, and our players couldn’t wait to get their hands on Herman Miller’s new gaming chair design. Our team spends multiple hours a day training and we knew we had to find the right chair partner to elevate our players’ comfort, health and performance.”

Since launching its collaborative gaming chair with Logitech G, Herman Miller has added TSM and San Francisco Shock to its roster of partners alongside Complexity Gaming.

Tim Straker, Chief Marketing Officer at Herman Miller, also commented: “The gaming community has been using Herman Miller office chairs in their setups for years—but it was time we designed a product line just for them. Gamers deserve top-tier equipment that will not only help them enjoy the game but also support their bodies in healthy ways to avoid injury and improve focus. After so many months of deep research and design, it’s extremely exciting to see our products being used by some of the best gamers out there—and that they love them.”

Esports Insider says: Herman Miller quickly went from having no official involvement in esports to partnering with major organisations and franchises, as well as having its own specifically-made gaming chair. We believe the company has done a good job of entering the industry through such moves.
