Sive is a 24-year industry veteran in both traditional sports and esports, including a decade at ESPN. Most recently, he served as the Chief Revenue Officer at TSM, Blitz & Influencers. While there, Sive led all marketing, content monetisation and brand partnership initiatives. Prior to joining TSM, Sive served as Chief Revenue Officer for Catalyst Sports & Media, where he grew the esports brand’s advisory business and signed major brand partners including Dr Pepper, Chipotle, and McLaren.

Praising the hiring, Dave Bialek, CEO of ReKTGlobal, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome Brad Sive as our Chief Revenue Officer. For the first time in ReKTGlobal’s four-year history, we have taken the most critical step in creating a dedicated sales force for the entirety of the company. Over the past few years, we have built up an outstanding portfolio of assets which has raised our profile and benefitted our shareholders.

“The next stage will be devoted to monetising those assets, increasing our revenues and continuing our march toward our definite, industry-leading position and to become a billion-dollar business.”

Sive will also be a key player in guiding ReKTGlobal through its explosive growth stage in support of its owned and operated subsidiaries, including professional esports teams Rogue and the London Royal Ravens, esports and gamer talent management company, TalentXGaming, and the entities other properties.

ReKTGlobal also stressed the importance of bridging the gap between traditional sports and esports and ‘providing solutions for the entire ecosystem’. The organisation raised $35m (£27.9 million) from Summit Partners this October and now aims to become a ‘one-billion-dollar company’.

Sive commented: “ReKTGlobal’s mission of being a complete esports ecosystem is something that is long overdue in the industry. No one else brings all the elements of the gaming experience together quite like ReKTGlobal. We have an amazing opportunity to elevate fan engagement and the experience for fans, teams and the average gamer.

“Our goal is to close the gap and bring on partners across the entertainment, music and gaming industry that will not only grow Team Rogue and the London Royal Ravens globally but our brand as a whole.”

Esports Insider says: ReKTGlobal has been gathering resources both in the form of capital, investors, and talent like Brad Sive over the past year, nevertheless, the firm is doing more than just sitting on its laurels counting money. The organisation acquired New York-based digital media agency Fearless Media and formed its own management firm this year, which points to ReKT’s long-term revenue strategies and ambitions.
