Esports and gaming job platform Hitmarker has expanded its hiring footprint in Asia-Pacific by way of a strategic partnership with recruitment service provider RGF Executive Search and Professional Recruitment (RGF).
Based in Asia, RGF provides talent acquisition services from C-suite executives to an array of managerial positions across a number of industries.
The long-term strategic partnership will combine Hitmarker’s existing database of candidates and hiring companies with RGF’s expertise and understanding of the APAC region. This will materialise in the form of fully-translated, localised platforms being rolled out across a number of key markets in the region.
Hitmarker Managing Director Richard Huggan commented on the partnership in a release: “We’ve been looking longingly at the enormous Asian esports and video game market for a while now, and this agreement with RGF gives us the perfect motivation to finally begin serving it.
“We’re incredibly excited to be working hand-in-hand with such a reputable partner as we embark on our Asian expansion, and firmly believe that Hitmarker will become the largest platform dedicated to esports and video game hiring in Japan, China, and beyond within the next few years. The potential is enormous.”
The foundation of Hitmarker’s expansion will begin with the delivery of Japanese and Simplified Chinese platforms in 2021, with localised offerings in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and South Korea arriving ‘soon after.’ According to a release, Hitmarker will receive an undisclosed amount of compensation each time RGF uses its database to complete a search.
RGF International Recruitment CEO Hiroki Nakashige added: “RGF has big ambitions to further grow and strengthen its business in the esports and video game recruitment and executive search space in Asia from 2021 onwards.
“By creating this strategic partnership with Hitmarker we are combining RGF’s expertise and knowledge in the Asia region, where we make 10,000+ successful placements each year, with Hitmarker’s ever-expanding online job platform. This will be a long-term partnership where we expect to solve esports and video game industry clients’ hiring and talent acquisition challenges, while also supporting candidates’ career aspirations.”
Esports Insider says: Hitmarker were first to identify the need for hiring in the esports industry and the nuance that comes with it. To date, they’ve accomplished quite a lot, including an expansion into the wider gaming industry and a successful crowdfunding campaigning generating over £521K. This is a company with great guidance and growth potential, and its devlopment in Asia-Pacific is the latest testament to that.
