With each cup collected by customers, a leaderboard will be updated weekly to determine the popularity of each team across Lawson stores in the region. Alongside the leaderboard, players will also be able to earn exclusive in-game items through codes printed onto the cups.

Matt Jaron, Business Development Lead at MPL, spoke on the partnership in a release: “The partnership with Lawson will help to strengthen our relationship with MPL Philippines fans and bring them closer to their favourite teams. We look forward to partnering up with more lifestyle and convenience brands, as part of our long-term investment in the Philippines.”

The eighth season of MPL Philippines is scheduled to begin on August 27th and will conclude with the Playoffs set to commence towards the end of 2021. The Playoffs will see the top six teams compete for the lion’s share of $75,000 (~£54,658) in prize money. The season was meant to begin on August 13th but was postponed due to a COVID-19 lockdown in the Metro Manila region.

Esports Insider says: As one of the largest convenience store chains in the region, Lawson is the ideal partner for Mobile Legends developer Moonton to promote the MPL in the Philippines. As one of the largest competitive mobile titles in the industry, the deal is a great way for fans to earn some exclusive in-game items and physical merchandise.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
