Esports and gaming data platform GRID Esports has announced a partnership with gaming agency GAM3RS_X for the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) CS:GO series.
As a result, the agency will produce the Northern European section of the circuit, which began September 25th.
In addition to operating the tournament, GAM3RS_X will use GRID’s data platform across eight online competitions that will be split into play-ins, group stages, and playoffs.
Founded in 2022 as part of the Fantasyexpo group, GAM3RS_X is no stranger to tournament operations. The agency has previously worked on various events including BLAST Rising and the Razer Invitational. Fantasyexpo is one of several firms jointly organising the CCT which features a $3.4m (~£3.1m) prize pool split across online and LAN competitions.
CCT is a two-year-long series that is set to conclude in 2024 with its Global Finals. Teams from Europe, North and South America will compete for a chance to qualify throughout 2023.
The agency becomes the seventh partner to partner with the CS:GO series. It joins the likes of NFT platform ARterra Labs, skin marketplace BitSkins and broadcast solutions provider Streamcards on its roster.
Tom Warburton, COO at GRID Esports, spoke on the deal: “GAM3RS_X is a strong partner to join the CCT in the North Europe region of the Tour, offering the Nordic community a truly tailored regional experience. We recognize the importance of delivering reliable and dedicated broadcasts to CCT viewers, and trust GAM3RS_X will deliver a fantastic broadcast.
“Our Regional Partners are an integral part of the Tour and we could not be more excited to welcome GAM3RS_X to the CCT.”
