A number of prominent companies in the collegiate esports scene have partnered to launch esports programme College Esports Now.
The weekly show will be dedicated to showcasing the storylines behind collegiate esports. It will be produced as a joint effort between CSMG, EsportsU, ESTV, NACL and NECC.
College Esports Now will be broadcast on linear esports channel ESTV, as well as Twitch, and will be hosted by esports personalities Katie Scott and Pauly ‘Hype’ Santoro. The programme will highlight various collegiate esports programmes on all levels, their teams, the personal stories of different players and their journey throughout their careers.
In addition, the show will feature a special segment with former NFL players Ahman Green, Shane Vereen and Brock Vereen, alongside esports pros. A variety of statistics and rankings across regular season play will also make for regular discussions in the show.
EsportsU, a collegiate esports brand owned by Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG), has been highlighting esports as a career for students for some time now. Earlier this year, it revealed the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC), which also featured a career fair alongside a variety of esports tournaments.
CSMG launched EsportsU at the start of 2022, with plans to become one of the largest aggregators for college-level esports in North America. The collegiate esports brand has set out to do so through a number of esports events and activations, with College Esports Now becoming its most recent venture.
