Danish esports organisation Astralis has announced changes to its leadership structure as the company’s Commercial Director, Kasper Sindt, leaves Astralis to pursue other ventures.

Sindt’s role will be filled by Niclas Nybjerg and Mads Rasmussen, two of Astralis’ existing executives. The company noted that its new organisational changes will look to increase transparency and improve internal processes.

Kasper Sindt, the former Commercial Director for Astralis, joined the company in March 2021. Sindt came to Astralis after a stint in the Danish Football Association, and prior to that, VELUX Group. He was an important aspect of Astralis’ partnerships for the last two years and worked on partnerships with a large number of brands, including HP OMEN, the Danish Union, hummel, and Greater Copenhagen.

Interestingly, Astralis decided not to find a new Commercial Director, but rather fill the role with two existing employees. Nybjerg is currently the Sales Director for the organisation, while Rasmussen is its Partnerships Director.

Nybjerg first joined Astralis in 2020 as a Sales Manager and has most recently worked as the Commercial Lead in the Pixel.tv and Astralis Nexus projects for the Danish organisation. He will be joined by Rasmussen, who will be promoted from Senior Partnership Manager to Partnership Director.

Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis A/S, commented on the changes: “To meet the demands and provide a more transparent service to our partners, we have worked on organisational adjustments to sharpen the focus on sales and commercial deliveries. We want to become even more relevant as a team brand as a commercial partner in esports and in the wider gaming scene.

“Going forward, we will split the commercial responsibilities into two: Sales and Commercial Deliveries with Niclas Nybjerg as our new Sales Director and Mads Rasmussen as our new Partnership Director.”
