British esports organisation EXCEL ESPORTS has announced a large-scale partnership with British bank HSBC UK.

HSBC will become the esports organisation’s official financial partner, whilst also acting as EXCEL’s financial health provider by educating fans about financial literacy.

It is the educational part that is a major segment of HSBC’s partnership with EXCEL. Both entities will work together on a string of activations to help EXCEL fans better understand financial services. The bank will also work with EXCEL’s rosters of players and talent to teach them how to manage finances at a young age.

This is not the first time that HSBC is partnering with an esports company, however, it is the first time the bank is partnering with an esports organisation. HSBC announced a partnership with ONE Esports in 2022, and the bank has been active in educating young people about making positive financial decisions.

The HSBC deal is the latest in a string of partnerships for EXCEL. The company moved into a new HQ in 2022 and has signed deals with the likes of PCSpecialist, Sony INZONE and EE. Early this year, the company promoted Tim Reichert, formerly of Schalke 04 Esports, to the role of CEO after his tenure as Head of Esports for the company.

Becky Moffat, Chief Marketing Officer at HSBC UK, commented on the partnership: “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with EXCEL, working together to help young people and entrepreneurs build financial skills and make the most of their money now and in the future.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
