Dota 2 Bali Major organisers IO Esports and EPULZE have announced gambling site 1xBet as the event’s presenting partner. DXRacer was additionally named official chair partner.
As presenting partner, 1xBet will provide a range of activations and engagements during the finals, including promotions and interactive experiences, according to a release.
The Bali Major is the last Major tournament in the current Dota Pro Circuit season, and the first Dota 2 Major ever to be played in Indonesia.
1xBet, a controversial yet prolific betting sponsor in sports and esports, will hold a number of activations during the finals of the event, such as promotions and other experiences, though exact details have not yet been disclosed.
According to the companies, 1xBet will also use its “expertise in online entertainment and gaming to enhance the event’s coverage by offering insights and data.”
Meanwhile, DXRacer, a well-known manufacturer of gaming furniture, will outfit the teams with custom-made Bali Major chairs that feature the event’s branding on the front and back.
The tournament started on June 29, with the finals commencing on July 7. The Bali Major will be the final chance for teams to accrue points before The International, making it an important tournament for many Dota 2 teams.
The tournament is produced by EPULZE and IO Esports, who have already announced several other partnerships for the event. Clothing retailer H&M will outfit on-screen talent, and Acer’s high-performance brand Predator is the event’s monitor partner.
Shikenso Analytics will provide marketing metrics for the tournament, while GRID will handle data distribution and management.
