Hong-Kong based esports organisation Talon Esports has secured a partnership with hardware brand AMD.

As a result of the deal, the brand will sponsor the organisation’s League of Legends team PSG Talon.

PSG Talon is preparing to compete in the Summer Split of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) League of Legends competition and will utilise AMD PC components to assist with hardware performance during practice and competitive play.

In addition to supplying PSG Talon players with components, AMD will gain branding visibility on PSG Talon’s jerseys for the remainder of the 2023 season alongside SteelSeries, which partnered with PSG Talon in February 2022.

In May 2023, PSG Esports and Talon Esports renewed their partnership to continue working on PSG Talon for the next three years. In March, the two parties also revealed they had renewed PSG Talon’s partnership with peripherals brand SteelSeries.

Since 2020, PSG Talon has established itself as one of the strongest League of Legends teams in the Asia-Pacific region. In April 2023, the organisation won the PCS Spring Playoffs which secured qualification for 2023’s Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) which took place in London.

Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon Esports, spoke on the deal: “We are truly honoured to collaborate with AMD and equip our League of Legends team with the finest gaming performance hardware.

“AMD has always been at the forefront of innovation and is a trusted brand for computer processors. We eagerly anticipate working with AMD to enhance our players’ competitive advantage and unleash their full potential.”
