Prior to entering the VALORANT scene as a commentator and coach, Gares previously played for esports organisations such as Cloud 9 and Echo Fox in CS:GO. Recently, he was involved as a broadcast talent for VCT 2023’s Americas Last Chance Qualifier.

According to a release, Gares’ deep-rooted knowledge of competitive gaming enables him to create highly engaging and informative content.

Gares is among a plethora of gaming and esports stakeholder and companies that have teamed up with HyperX. Earlier this month, the brand signed a partnership with esports organisation Knights and also launched a collaboration with Team Liquid.

Moreover, HyperX also joined forces with content creator and 100 Thieves co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter to release a limited edition keycap.

HyperX noted that the collaboration between the two parties is based on a ‘shared passion for gaming, long-standing relationships and a mutual desire to provide a memorable gaming experience for game enthusiasts worldwide’.

Caio Martins, Global Influencer and Events Manager at HyperX, commented on the news: “Sean’s expertise in breaking down strategies, providing feedback, and offering valuable insights highlights his commitment to helping new players and fostering community growth.

“This aligns perfectly with HyperX’s support for gamers of all levels and efforts towards helping them persevere.”

HyperX also expanded its existing VALORANT-focused partnership with game developer Riot Games, remaining the official supplier of keyboards, mice, and mousepads for the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).
