UK university esports body National Student Esports (NSE) has partnered up with hardware supplier Scan Computers to better support the student gaming community.
As part of the deal, Scan has been named NSE’s Official Gaming System Partner and will directly support the British University Esports Championship. Additionally, the gaming PC builder will integrate custom 3XS Systems gaming PCs into the British University Esports Championship finals at the Insomnia gaming festival.
According to a release, Scan will also power NSE’s Tech Talk channel on its Discord server, a community tool to provide advice to gamers and students about PC builds and hardware components.
Scan will join other commercial brands such as UNiDAYS, Intel, Monster Energy and DrayTek as NSE sponsors. The company has also partnered with publishers such as Nintendo and Riot Games to help further develop esports within academic and educational environments.
The British University Esports Championship is a growing esports collegiate competition in the UK ecosystem. The competition features 111 universities and more than 2,200 teams.
The winter season of the British University Esports Championship is currently underway with students competing in a number of titles including VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. For this season, NSE also introduced Apex Legends and a Splatoon 3 championship was NSE partnered up with Nintendo.

NSE and Scan are also looking to launch a new competition after the British University Esports Championship Spring season. Details on what esports title will be featured will be announced in the upcoming months.
