UK esports organisation Tundra Esports has partnered with film production company Paramount Pictures UK to deliver a gaming event themed around upcoming movie ‘Sumotherhood’.

The event will be held on October 11th and features gaming activations with public figures involved in the movie.

The gaming event intends to celebrate the release of ‘Sumotherhood’ and provide fans with a unique look into the movie’s background, according to a release. ‘Sumotherhood’ star Jazzie Zonzolo and British rapper P Money will face each other in the new EA Sports FC 24. Throughout the segment, the two will share details about the film and P Money’s featured song ‘Trouble’.

Founded in 2019, UK-based esports organisation Tundra Esports hosts rosters in DOTA 2, Fortnite, and Rocket League, as well as individual esports athletes and content creators. The organisation’s biggest achievements include winning the DOTA 2 International 2022 Championship, the 2022 Fortnite EU FNCS Championship, and the FIFA ePremier League.

Last year, Dutch Liverpool football athlete Virgil Van Dijk joined Tundra as an ambassador and shareholder.

Paramount Pictures Corporation is an American film and television production and distribution company. Its UK branch and British actor and director Adam Deacon will bring ‘Sumotherhood’ to cinemas on October 13th. The action comedy is a parody of the UK urban genre, depicting the struggles of Riko and Kane.

Paramount Pictures UK is not the only company Tundra Esports has partnered with this year. In June, the esports organisation made sports betting operator Winline a primary partner of its DOTA 2 team in a multi-year contract. Most recently, Tundra announced partnerships with m ViewSonic and Ballantine’s for DOTA 2’s upcoming 2023 The International.

P Money commented on the upcoming event with Tundra and Paramount Pictures UK: “It’s always a pleasure and an achievement to have your music in a film. Especially when you remember watching the first one as just a viewer. Private screenings are always a good vibe.

“I look forward to playing some games on stream and then watching the film when the dust settles from my opponents that perished.
