UK-based gaming and esports event organiser EPIC.LAN has named Counter-Strike skin trading platform Tradeit.gg as a sponsor.

As a result, the platform will support EPIC41’s Counter-Strike 2 tournament taking place at the event from February 22nd to 25th.

Tradeit.gg will boost the tournament’s prize pool to between £3,000 and £6,000. EPIC.LAN noted that the final prize pool will be determined by the number of teams participating in the tournament.

In addition to boosting the prize pool, the platform will also host on-site activations including giveaways for attendees and meet-and-greets with Kenny ‘kennyS’ Schrub and Cédric ‘RpK’ Guipouy. Alongside the activations, Tradeit.gg will sponsor the MVP award which the best player of the tournament will receive.

Tradeit.gg is no stranger to supporting Counter-Strike esports events. In January 2024, the platform became the global partner of the 2024 BLAST Premier season. In October 2023, it also partnered with French esports organisation Team Vitality.

EPIC.LAN continues to consolidate its position as one of the UK’s largest esports tournament organisers. In January 2024, it renewed its partnership with hardware retailer Overclockers UK and provided its tournament platform to the University of Northampton.

Jon Winkle, Managing Director of EPIC.LAN, spoke on the deal: “EPIC.LAN is now one of the world’s biggest BYOC LAN events for Counter-Strike, right here in the UK.

“Thanks to Tradeit, we cannot wait to have two of the biggest names in global CS at our event to help us celebrate everything great about the UK esports scene.”
