PC hardware manufacturer Intel has renewed its partnership with UK-based gaming and esports event organiser EPIC.LAN.

As a result of the renewal, Intel will be the headline sponsor of EPIC.LAN events taking place throughout 2024.

According to a release, the two parties will continue collaborating for a fourth year to ‘make a positive impact on the UK’s grassroots communities’. Intel also will showcase its range of Core processors and its Arc graphics cards as part of in-person activations taking place at EPIC.LAN events.

Alongside the activations, Intel will sponsor the Community Championship Belt, a prize for a casual multi-title competition where competitors earn points to become champion.

EPIC.LAN first partnered with Intel in 2021 where the company sponsored the tournament organiser’s VALORANT tournaments. Since then, the manufacturer has kept a physical presence at EPIC.LAN events through product demonstrations and giveaways.

Intel is the second partnership renewal for EPIC.LAN in 2024. In January, the organiser renewed its partnership with hardware retailer Overclockers UK in a deal which sees it become the official chair partner of EPIC41, taking place from February 22nd to 25th.

Jon Winkle, Managing Director of EPIC.LAN, spoke on the renewal: “Intel has been a true partner for the past three years at EPIC.LAN, including through the tough COVID times when community gaming was never more important.

“The team at Intel really understands that the path to pro starts at the grassroots level with events like ours and it’s great that they want to be a part of that entire journey through EPIC.LAN’s community.”
