Game data platform GRID has expanded its esports data partnership with Abios, a subsidiary of betting technology provider Kambi Group.

As a result, the two parties will continue collaborating to expand the coverage of esports odds that are powered by GRID’s data.

Through Abios’ services, GRID will add its League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege data to power Kambi Group’s partners. Abios will use GRID’s real-time data feeds to provide customers with real-time odds and a range of expanded markets due to the platform’s ability to collect data directly from game servers.

The addition of League of Legends and Rainbow Six data to GRID and Abios‘ partnership takes the total number of data feeds to five. In July 2023, the two parties’ initial deal included data from Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and VALORANT.

GRID is no stranger to providing data to power esports betting. In May 2023, it partnered with Inspired Entertainment to launch a betting-focused Counter-Strike product. 2024 has also been a busy year for the platform with regard to expanding its partnership portfolio. In February 2024, it partnered with KeSPA and game developer Ubisoft to launch a data portal for Rainbow Six Siege esports.

Abios continues to cement itself as one of the largest esports odds providers. February 2024 saw the company partner with sportsbook provider Betinvest. In May, it also secured a deal with French esports organisation Team Vitality.

Mikael Westerling, Chief Sales Officer at GRID, spoke on the expansion: “We’re proud to offer League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege official data feeds to Kambi’s network for the first time and add even more value to the experience of their already impressive esports betting products.

“The continued success of our partnership with Abios and our shared vision for the potential of esports betting made extending the partnership an easy choice.”
