Peripherals manufacturer Hexgears has announced a new addition to its lineup of gaming keyboards, the Hexgears Immersion A3 tenkeyless low profile keyboard.

The board, set to be available in late August for around £125 ($159), features low profile switches, an aluminium frame and a tenkeyless form factor.

Hexgears is known for producing several high-quality budget keyboards in the past, notably the Impulse and Venture models. The brand was founded in 2015, and exclusively produces keyboards, with models ranging from custom boards to gaming and low profile models of different shapes.

The new A3 model is set to be the company’s flagship as the highest-priced model in the company’s lineup. Hexgears have managed to equip the board with an impressive set of features considering the price, including a large 5800 mAh battery with a claimed life of around 50 hours, and both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. The board can also be connected and charged via USB-C.

In addition to wired and wireless connection, the keyboard features Kailh’s new factory-lubed range of ultra-low profile switches in three flavours: clicky, linear and tactile. The switches are also hotswappable and feature RGB lighting. There is a foam insert for better sound, and a aluminium plate and frame for rigidity. Hexgears says the plate is “aircraft-grade.”

There is also a colour screen on the keyboard itself, used to control the lighting effects such as brightness, speed and colour. The screen can also display images and GIFs, and can display battery power, time and date and other useful information.

In addition to this rather impressive feature set on paper, the A3 can also be further customised via the HexDrive software that the company offers.

As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
