Electronics manufacturer Samsung has partnered with Web3 company Illuvium centred around Illuvium’s universe of three interconnected games.

The partnership will be unveiled at Gamescom 2024 where the Web3 company will feature heavily in Samsung’s booth on select Samsung Web3 TVs.

As part of the deal, fans at Gamescom will be able to experience all three of Illuvium’s aforementioned games — Overworld, Arena and Zero — at the Samsung booth. It is worth noting that Arena is seemingly looking to enter the esports space by showcasing its esports capability with community events and livestreams.

Illuvium previously partnered with Team Liquid to promote Illivium: Arena, the collaboration saw nine of Team Liquid’s streamers play the autobattler and showcase the game’s new competitive PvP mode.

The GEN3RATOR campaign is the backbone of the deal between the two companies. According to a release, the campaign is designed to merge the Illuvium and Samsung communities. Fans will also be given the chance to win prizes, including 10 GEN3RATOR NFTs, Samsung’s latest digital tool that unlocks features on the Samsung Web3 Roadmap.

The Illuvium CEO and Co-Founder Kieran Warwick will be present at Gamescom as a speaker in the “Good Morning Gamescom” panel discussion.

Partnerships with games companies and entities aspiring to get into esports are nothing new to Samsung, with the phone manufacturers currently boasting a PUBG Mobile division alongside esports organisation NRG. The company has also sponsored multiple events and esports organisations including TELUS Esports, GODSENT, Snapdragon Pro Series and more.
