Research group and consulting company SIDO has announced the launch of a new League of Legends Path2pro programme.

The initiative will aim to bring more opportunities for North American players to enter the League of Legends esports ecosystem by creating opportunities to help them climb to the professional scene.

According to SIDO, players will be chosen based on their solo queue performance, with ten of them attending an in-person tryout in Los Angeles. A selected few will then head to Seoul, South Korea, for a month-long boot camp to put the players’ skills to the test.

Optional seminars will also be provided, giving players the chance to get in touch with industry professionals while also building skills outside of the game itself, including proper health, diet, and fitness routines. Moreover, the programme will help players track their progress and monitor stress markers to adjust training intensity accordingly.

The online process will take place from the end of October through November for approximately three weeks, with the in-person tryout starting in late November or early December. The Korean boot camp will be held in January. All travel, accommodations, food and gear for the in-person tryouts and the boot camp will provided through SIDO and its sponsors, which will be announced at a later date, according to a company’s post.

Applications are currently open and will close on October 13th at 5pm PT (October 14th, 1am BST). According to the application requirements, players must be residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico and must be at least 16 years old with a peak rank of Masters or above this year.

Founded by esports industry veteran and former TSM General Manager Parth ‘Parth’ Naidu, SIDO was created with the goal of leveraging professionals’ knowledge and experience to build a variety of products and programmes to drive the esports industry forward. Earlier in 2022, the company announced a partnership with North American esports organisation Immortals to help the company with player performance and development.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
