Esports education and management platform Gameplan has announced a partnership with the Pennsylvania Scholastic Esports League (PSEL).

As a result of the real, the league will gain access to the platform’s tools to enhance its esports and education initiatives within Pennsylvania.

According to a release, the collaboration marks ‘a significant milestone in the evolution of scholastic esports in Pennsylvania.’ Gameplan’s resources will be used to create a variety of lessons designed to improve the esports abilities of students in addition to enhancing their own academic development.

Gameplan is one of the largest esports educational platforms in the world. It has collaborated with several educational establishments to implement esports into their curriculums through lessons and grassroots competitions.

Founded in 2021, the PSEF holds a number of scholastic esports tournaments across a range of titles including League of Legends, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In August 2024, the league partnered with coaching platform STEMForged to enable participants to improve their skills.

The PSEF is the second scholastic esports initiative Gameplan has partnered with in 2024. In April, the platform joined forces with the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation to offer schools in the state a range of esports-related educational courses.

Rasmus Sandström, CEO of Gameplan, spoke on the deal: “We have great respect for the work PSEL has done in the realm of scholastic esports. Joining forces allows us to combine our expertise to create educational experiences with esports being the main method of instruction.

“Together, we’re dedicated to equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed both in esports and their future careers. In the coming months, we will be able to announce something that has never been done before.”
