North American esports organisation Sentinels has partnered with hardware brand Razer to launch a co-designed version of the Razer Viper V3 Pro mouse.

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition features a metallic red colour scheme and the Sentinels logo. The product will be available at a slightly higher price than the original (£179.99 compared to £159.99).

The co-designed mouse is the latest in a string of partnerships between Sentinels and Razer, first announced in June. The two brands worked together on a gaming chair initially, but Razer has since partnered with the organisation for its Sen City Classic event that commenced in late October. The new mouse is mechanically identical to the regular Viper V3 Pro, and only differs in colour and finish. It is one of the few mice on the market that features a metallic finish as opposed to a matte or rubberised finish.

Although the company does not often work with organisations or players to create customised mice and peripherals, Razer did create a unique version of its DeathAdder mouse with League of Legends player Faker in 2023. The company has also worked with numerous other brands to create gaming hardware, including Pokemon, Fortnite, PUBG, Keith Haring and metal band Sabaton, among others.

Jeffrey Chau, Director of Global Esports at Razer, commented on the collaboration: “The Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition is a testament to the pinnacle of esports competition. By Blentind Razer’s commitment to quality with Sentinels’ championship-winning ethos, we’ve created a product that stands at the intersection of performance and passion.”

Sentinels are most known for its VALORANT roster, which is one of the most successful in North America and globally, winning the VCT Masters Madrid 2024 and the 2024 Kickoff events. The Razer Viper V3 Pro, released earlier this year, has proven to be a very popular mouse for VALORANT players. Analytics and data platform Prosettings has the mouse at the top of the list of mice used by VALORANT pros between August and October 2024.
