VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 reached 4.3m peak viewership, setting an all-time esports record.
Despite excluding data from Chinese platforms, Esports Charts reported that Masters Bangkok saw an overall peak of over 1.3m, marking a new milestone in the series’ history. This would make it the second-most watched VALORANT Masters event (although VCT has called it the most-watched, likely including fans from China to reach 4m viewers).
This follows T1, which qualified for the Grand Final after beating EDward Gaming (EDG) in the lower grand final, securing its first Masters title over G2 Esports in a 3-2 victory.
The highly anticipated showdown between T1 and G2 Esports in Bangkok, Thailand drew massive attention. As a result, it more than doubled the viewership of T1’s previous match against EDG.
As reported by Esports Charts, the Grand Finals match drew in an all-time peak of 1,307,646 viewers on March 2, 2025. The tournament boasted an average viewership of over 400k viewers over a 50-hour air time this past weekend.
T1 Makes History at Masters Bangkok 2025
VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 saw eight of the best teams from around the world competing to decide who deserves to be crowned champion early into the season.
In the Grand Final match, T1 and G2 Esports faced off in a best-of-five series:
- Map 1: Haven – G2 Esports secured a narrow victory with a 13-11 win
- Map 2: Bind – T1 dominates with a landslide 13-6 win
- Map 3: Split – G2 pulls ahead, landing a 13-9 win over T1
- Map 4: Ascent – T1 fights back, tying the series with a 13-10 victory
- Map 5: Icebox – In a tie-breaker finale, T1 comes out on top winning 14-12
South Korea’s T1 snatched a nail-biting victory over G2 Esports, marking a monumental moment in multiple ways.
The match allowed VALORANT’s Korean-language broadcasts to hit new records as Korean viewers tuned in via YouTube and regional platforms such as CHZZK.
The official VALORANT X profile announced the winners of Masters Bankok, noting that T1 defeated the top team from every region.
G2 also commented on X, congratulating T1′ on its win while spotlighting Bangkok’s event success.
It said: “Not how we wanted it to end, but still so proud. Thank you to the fans in Bangkok and online for making it such a banger.”
