Popular crypto-native IP Pudgy Penguins has unveiled Pengu Clash, a fast-paced, skill-based multiplayer game on the TON blockchain.

This marks a major step in Pudgy Penguins’ expansion into decentralised gaming, leveraging Telegram’s vast ecosystem of over one billion users to introduce web3 gaming to a broader audience.

Pengu Clash was unveiled via a recent press release, inviting players to lead penguin characters known as ‘Pengus’ through a mix of mini-games, including Darts, Football and Bomber.

Pengu Clash Brings Pudgy Penguins to Life in Web3 Gaming

Built using Elympics, a real-time multiplayer infrastructure for blockchain games, Pengu Clash is designed to support real-time competition.

Elympics enables token incentives and competitive tournament features, aligning perfectly with the game’s play-to-win model. Unlike the traditional play-to-earn model, P2W rewards consistency and gameplay skills, not spending power.

Players can win token-based prizes in real-time matches and social tournaments, fostering friendly competition without pay-to-win mechanics.

Over 350,000 users have joined the waitlist for Pengu Clash, with many already exploring the game’s mini-app on Telegram.

“This is where Web3 gaming is heading—toward real engagement and quality experiences,” said Tom Kopera, COO and Co-Founder of Elympics. “With Pengu Clash, it’s all about fun, utility and fair competition.”

Originally launched in 2021 as an NFT collection of 8,888 unique Ethereum-based penguins, Pudgy Penguins has since expanded into physical merchandise, games and now decentralised entertainment via its PENGU token.

With Pengu Clash, the brand continues redefining how web3 games can entertain and engage a global audience.

Web3 Gaming Boom: Adidas, MapleStory and Now Pudgy Penguins

The Pengu Clash release coincides with broader developments in the web3 gaming industry.

MapleStory recently integrated Avalanche and Chainlink tech to offer digital ownership and creator-first incentives. At the same time, Adidas partnered with Xociety, an RPG on the Sui Network, for exclusive NFT character drops. Playtron also announced plans for a gaming-focused stablecoin.

Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
