Rematch developer Sloclap has announced it has partnered with Toornament to host esports tournaments.

The esports tournament platform will act as the official tournament platform for the third-person football title.

According to Toornament, the title’s developers want to ‘centralise and develop Rematch esports activities’ within its platform to uphold the title’s visual identity. Thanks to its white-label solution launched in May 2023, the platform will integrate its esports offering directly into Rematch.

The platform offers players the ability to manage their teams, report results and compete in tournaments operated by a range of event organisers.

Additionally, the platform will handle tournament registrations along with promoting tournaments.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Sloclap to help build the competitive gaming scene,” said Sylvian Maillard, Marketing and Communication Manager of Toornament. Maillard then revealed ‘hundreds of organisers have already expressed their interest in contributing’ to Rematch’s esports platform, with ‘dozens of tournaments’ set to take place in the coming weeks.

The Rematch esports platform is live with several tournaments currently open across PC and consoles. In addition, tournaments on Rematch will feature prizes, including in-game rewards.

What Is Rematch?

Rematch is a new football title which has quickly gained traction. Following its release, the title recorded a peak player count of 92,841 players according to SteamDB.

Featuring a range of gameplay mechanics and a unique visual identity, Rematch continues the trend of new football titles offering an alternative experience to EA Sports FC.

In recent weeks, UFL has demonstrated its esports capabilities with an event in collaboration with the Portuguese Football Federation. The football title has received investment from footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo as it looks to build an ecosystem.

With the launch of Rematch attracting plenty of interest, it will be interesting to see whether its esports scene can thrive.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
