FaZe Clan has announced the return of Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants to the starting line-up of its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster.
The return of the Latvian AWPer follows a two-month stint on the substitute’s bench.
In an X post, Broky revealed he was feeling “recharged, refreshed, and readier than ever,” ahead of a busy second half of the 2025 CS2 season.
The player was moved to the bench in May to make way for the surprise addition of Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev, who represented the North American organisation at IEM Dallas and the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Broky’s return to the starting roster seemingly ends speculation surrounding s1mple’s permanent addition to the team after FaZe Clan’s Austin Major performance.
Broky has represented FaZe Clan since September 2019, joining from the former Epsilon Esports roster. During his six-year tenure as part of the organisation, he has achieved several tournament victories, including a win at the 2022 Antwerp Major. His most recent win came at the 2024 edition of the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
What’s Next For FaZe Clan?
With Broky back in the starting lineup, FaZe Clan’s attention turns to IEM Cologne, where the team will be in action for the first time after placing in the top eight at the Austin Major.
Taking place from July 23rd to August 3rd, 2025, the second stop on the ESL Pro Tour sees 24 teams from across the world competing for VRS points and a share of a $1m (~£736,003) prize pool.
Elsewhere, the team is one of eight to receive a direct invitation to Stage 2 of ESL Pro League Season 22, thanks to its seventh-place ranking in the July Valve Regional Standings (VRS).
