Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has cemented itself as one of the biggest esports titles in the world, and its largest event of the year will form part of the Esports World Cup once more.

The Mid-Season Cup (MSC) features 23 teams from across the globe heading to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a chance to earn a share of $3m (~£2.2m) in prize money.

Before the action gets underway, here’s everything there is to know about the MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025 event, taking place from July 10th to August 2nd.

MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025 Format Explained

The MSC kicks off with the Wildcard phase from July 10th to 13th. Eight teams are randomly drawn into two groups and compete in best-of-three, double-elimination matches. The top two teams from each group secure qualification to the Wildcard Playoffs.

Four teams compete in a single-elimination bracket, with the Grand Final using a best-of-five series to determine the winner. The winner of the Wildcard Playoffs will advance to the Group Stage, which begins on July 23rd.

The Group Stage involves another draw, with 16 teams split into two groups of eight. Notably, no teams from the region can feature in the same group. Teams play in double-elimination group brackets using best-of-three matches to determine the top four. The top four from each group advance to the knockout stage. The remaining teams are eliminated from the tournament.

The final stage of the MLBB Mid-Season Cup 2025 event is the Knockout Stage, where the remaining teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Each match is a best-of-five series until the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-seven series.
