Razer has teased online that its next collaboration will be with global media franchise Pokémon, promising to reveal more details on July 17th, 2025 at 8:00 AM PT.
Not much has been revealed so far, aside from confirmation from both parties that they are working together on this project.
The trailer was posted online with the caption ‘are you ready for a new journey?’ Pokémon then responded to the tweet, but gave no further details surrounding what fans can expect. So far, the tweet has accumulated over 1.1m views, and has invited reactions from esports organisations such as 100 Thieves, Alliance and more.
It is not the first time the gaming peripheral brand has worked with Pokémon. Back in 2023, it released a limited edition collection of its hardware customised with the Pokémon aesthetic. This collection included Pikachu-themed Razer Leviathan V2 X keyboard, Kraken V3 X soundbar and headset, alongside two sizes (medium and XXL) of Razer’s Giagntus V2 mousepads.
It is not out of the question to expect something similar from the collaboration this time around, perhaps this time for some of Razer’s latest hardware released after 2023.
Razer and Pokémon Double Down on Esports
Both Razer and Pokémon have expanded their esports presence in 2025 through partnerships, tournaments, and more.
In 2025, Razer entered a multi-category partnership with esports organisation 100 Thieves, sponsoring its Block Party event. It has also partnered with esports athletes such as T1’s Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok to release a special edition Viper V3 Pro mouse this year.
Pokémon’s esports scene has also been strong in 2025 so far. It held its largest VGC tournament in history, in which Wolfe Glick won the Pokémon Europe International Championships. It has also made commitments for 2026, sharing that the North America International Championships is set to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Fans will have to wait until July 17th to see what the two companies have created, and how both Razer and Pokémon will continue to shape the esports ecosystem.
