Riot Games has released its VALORANT Champions 2025 Anthem, ‘Last Shot’, featuring artists templuv and 347aidan.
The song, which was previously announced by the game’s developer last week, can now be streamed across various music platforms.
VALORANT Champions is the final international tournament in the game’s yearly esports calendar. This year, the event is heading to Paris from September 12th to October 5th.
Champions Paris will see 16 teams from the four VCT regions (EMEA, Americas, Pacific, China) compete for its $2.25m (~£1.66m) total prize pool.
VALORANT Champions 2025 Anthem Details
With the official release of the 2025 Champions Anthem today, templuv and 347aidan have joined the ranks of musicians to integrate their artistry into VALORANT esports history.
Templuv are a duo of musicians that published their debut EP in April this year. Meanwhile, 347aidan is a more established rapper and singer from Canada. His 2021 single ‘Dancing in My Room’ helped him gain wider recognition after becoming popular on TikTok.
The music video for Last Shot also deserves recognition, having delivered outstanding animations. In synch with the song’s themes of perseverance and proving oneself, the video tells the story of a crucial VCT round on Abyss.
After his teammates, Breach, Astra, Chamber and Waylay, have fallen, Phoenix finds himself in a stressful 1v5 post-plant scenario.
Despite being surrounded by the enemy, he successfully defeats Viper, Cypher, Sova and ultimately Jett to stop her from defusing the spike and secure victory for his team.
Riot Games’ Anthem Tradition
Similar to League of Legends esports traditions, VALORANT developer Riot Games has released dedicated Champions Anthems since the competition’s inaugural edition in 2021.
Thanks to Riot Games’ eye for quality music production and animations, the music video to the first anthem, ‘Die For You’ featuring Grabbitz, has reached more than 111m YouTube views. Last year’s anthem, SUPERPOWER with KISS OF LIFE and Mark Tuan, has recorded over 8.7m YouTube views so far.
The intersection of music and esports is an integral part of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) consumer experience, with the pre-finals show typically featuring a live performance of the latest anthem. Moreover, the song is played during the inspection animation of the annual Champions skin bundle.
Given the positive reception of Riot’s music projects, the publisher has doubled down on this strategy in recent years. 2025 alone saw the release of numerous VALORANT-related songs, including a VALORANT Mobile launch track with BBNO$ and Yuki Chiba’s official VCT Pacific Stage 2 anthem.
