Team Liquid has announced the departure of Kim ‘Reignover‘ Yeu-jin from its League of Legends coaching staff.
The former jungler joined the North American esports organisation as a coach in late 2022.
Announced on October 7th, 2025, Reignover’s departure marks the end of his three-year tenure as Team Liquid’s Assistant and Head Coach.
Over the past three years, Reignover guided the team to the LCS 2024 Spring title along with victory at the LTA 2025 Cross-Conference tournament. Other notable accolades include two World Championship appearances and a top-four finish at the Esports World Cup 2024.
“Big love to the fans, players, and coaches who have trusted and supported me over the past three years,” said Reignover on social media.
“My time in Team Liquid has been truly special. It’s been a place where I’ve always wanted to be, enjoying every day with fun, passion and happiness. I will always carry these warm memories.”
The departure of Reignover follows a disappointing LTA North Split 3 campaign, where Team Liquid only scored a top-six placement. As a result of the performance, the team failed to qualify for the LTA Championship and missed out on a place at this year’s League of Legends World Championship.
Further Team Liquid Changes
After failing to qualify for Worlds, Team Liquid’s off-season has already featured several changes to its roster and coaching lineup. In September, Jeong ‘Impact’ Eon-young announced his departure from the top lane role after returning to the team in 2023.
In addition to Reignover leaving the Head Coach position, Team Liquid’s interim Head Coach and Assistant Coach, Simon ‘Swiffer’ Papamarkos, left on October 1st.
According to the Global Contract Database, Jo ‘CoreJJ‘ Yong-in’s contract expires at the end of 2025, opening the door for further changes to Team Liquid’s roster as it prepares for the return of the LCS in 2026.
