Esports tournament platform FACEIT has shared details on new features and changes as part of its Season 7 update.
The update, launched on November 19th, 2025, featured a soft ELO reset along with changes to combat cheating in matches taking place on the platform.
FACEIT Season 7 runs from November 19th to April 6th, 2026, with amateur and professional players competing in Counter-Strike 2 matches. Metizport rifler Liam ‘MaiL09‘ Tügel topped the Season 6 leaderboard with an ELO of 5,382 after setting a record of 5,415 earlier in the year.
For Season 7, FACEIT has issued a soft ELO reset to Level 10 players based on Season 6’s activity. The reset aims to improve queuing times, along with balancing matches at the top of the leaderboard.
Premium Matches now also feature stricter entry criteria. The highest-quality queue is open to solos and duos and requires mandatory ID verification to maintain integrity. Players must also reach the platform’s Veteran threshold to participate in Premium Matches.
In addition to revamping other queue elements, FACEIT has overhauled its ladder system for Season 7. Each region features four six-hour daily ladders and ten new ladder types, offering players the ability to play at times that suit them best.
FACEIT Anti-Cheat Improvements
Outside of platform adjustments and resets, FACEIT Season 7 includes enhanced anti-cheat measures and verification for greater levels of protection against hackers and suspicious accounts.
From November 25th, players are required to use TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on their PCs. Moreover, FACEIT staff will ask high ELO players to verify their accounts through video calls and supervised play sessions.
In October, the platform supervised upcoming CS2 talent ‘nocries’ after the player reached the top of the North American leaderboards. In a supervised session at its New York offices, the platform cleared the player of any wrongdoing, inviting them to compete in its in-house FPL circuit.
