MOONTON Games has announced that auto-battler title Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) will make its debut as part of the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The title, which launched globally in May, also announced its inaugural edition of the Magic Chess: Go Go World Championship — the GO1 World Championship

Magic Chess: Go Go At SEA Games

According to a release, Magic Chess: Go Go will be part of the opening day of the SEA Games in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 12th, 2025.

Instead of a tournament taking place, the title will be shown as a demonstration match where players from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines will compete.

Alongside MCGG, the SEA Games will feature a range of medalled esports events including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire and FC Online.

“We’re incredibly proud that MCGG has earned its place on a prestigious stage like the SEA Games,” said Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystems at MOONTON Games. “For us, MCGG has always been more than just a game. It’s about using the game to build a connected ecosystem that gives aspiring champions a chance to shine.”

Launched in May, MCGG has already begun laying the foundations to build a dedicated esports ecosystem. In September, the title unveiled the first in-game qualifiers for international tournaments as part of its Season 3 update.

Magic Chess: Go Go World Championship

Alongside its debut at the SEA Games, MOONTON Games has revealed the GO1 World Championship, MCGG’s first offline international tournament. The world championship will see 24 players competing for championship glory.

The Grand Final of the GO1 World Championship will take place on January 25th, 2026, as part of the M7 Carnival, a fan event celebrating the M7 World Championship for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The carnival will feature several fan activations, including watch parties for both world championship events alongside a range of interactive experiences.

Gao ‘Skyhook’ Chong, MCGG Producer at MOONTON Games, discussed the world championship event: “Launching the GO1 World Championship is a proud moment for everyone on the team. It’s amazing to see how our growing esports ecosystem is putting players on the global stage and revealing hidden champions from everywhere across the world.

“This tournament embodies our vision of accessible and democratic esports, where everyone has a chance to rise to the top.”

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
