Multinational esports organisation Gen.G has expanded into Fortnite esports ahead of the 2026 Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) season.
The organisation has recruited the North American pair of Aidan ‘Ajerss‘ Bernero and Marguire ‘Ritual‘ Morton to its main roster.
In addition to the signing of Ritual and Ajerss, Gen.G also added ‘Jargue’ and ‘KingOnExpo’ to form a development roster, enabling the main duo to hone their skills within the battle royale title. Ritual and Ajerss recently made their debut on January 8th, competing in the first qualifier for the Esports World Cup 2026.
Gen.G’s expansion into Fortnite marks its return to the title following a five-year absence. In 2021, the organisation fielded a female roster that participated in several notable tournaments, scoring a second-place finish at Women of the eRena 5.
Ritual has cemented his place as one of the strongest North American players in the ecosystem. During the 2025 FNCS season, he won the Major 2 and Major 3 Grand Finals, taking home a combined $120,000 (~£89,463) in prize money.
Ajerss is also among the region’s top talents, having won the 2025 Major 1 Grand Final and securing second place in Major 2.
Gen.G’s Battle Royale Expansion
Fortnite is the latest battle royale title Gen.G has entered in recent months. September 2025 saw the organisation expanding into Call of Duty: Warzone esports. Following the end of the 2025 season, it recruited Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad to its roster.
The organisation is also rebuilding its PUBG roster, which finished second at the Esports World Cup. On January 7th, Cho ‘ seoul’ Gi-yeol joined the roster as it prepares to compete in the title’s first season using a Third-Person Perspective (TPP) format.
With publishers continuing to support their titles’ esports scenes, Gen.G continues to build rosters armed with the experience and ability to ensure the organisation stays among the top teams in the world.
