Peripheral brand Razer has announced a collaboration with popular Japanese anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

The announcement was made through a brief social media post online, sharing that the Evangelion Eva Unit-02 Collection will be ‘coming soon’ according to a rough translation.

Evangelion is a sci-fi action-drama television series that originally aired from 1995 to 1996 and has gone on to become a cultural phenomenon in Japan.

Details for what to expect from the upcoming collaboration have not been confirmed, but fans can likely anticipate themed editions of some of Razer’s peripherals, similar to past product launches.

As mentioned, it is not the first time Razer has worked with other brands to elevate its peripherals. While it has worked with other anime series such as Pokémon, it has also teamed up with popular esports titles such as Counter-Strike 2.

Over time, the two worlds of anime and esports have crossed over more frequently. In 2025 alone, esports organisations such as Team Liquid launched products themed after anime and manga series like Bleach. Moreover, competitive titles like PUBG Mobile have launched events in collaboration with shows such as Attack on Titan.

Razer in Esports

2025 saw the peripheral brand further expand its presence in the competitive gaming scene, from product launches to partnerships with the most well-known esports brands.

Razer worked with teams such as 100 Thieves, entering a multi-year partnership with the North American brand. It also partnered with Sentinels to release a Razer BlackShark V3 Pro headset themed after the esports team.

The brand has also started 2026 with several major announcements. It unveiled a line-up of AI-driven technologies at the CES 2026 product showcase, including the Project Ava AI companion, which analyses and reviews games in real-time.

Recently, Razer also announced a partnership with the French organisation Karmine Corp, with its logo featured on the LEC team’s jersey.
