MOONTON Games has announced the return of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s (MLBB) Golden Month, running from February 17th to April 2nd, 2026.
MLBB Golden Month is an in-game celebration that held its inaugural event last year, allowing players to unlock progressive awards, including the chance to win one of 10,000 OPPO smartphones.
The smartphone giveaway has expanded from four countries in 2025 to 11 this year. Eligible countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), India, Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, and Peru.
Joe Jiang, Game Publishing Marketing Director at MOONTON Games, commented on the news: “Golden Month reflects the spirit of giving and generosity that defines this year’s campaign.
“As a mobile-first game, MLBB is designed to be accessible anytime and anywhere, and initiatives like this help us further bring the experience to more players globally.”
It is not the first time MOONTON Games and OPPO have worked together for an activation. Back in January 2026, the developer and smartphone brand unveiled a $100,000 (~£72,500) MLBB Hyper Legend Cup collegiate tournament.
Other in-game rewards are also available to unlock through the Dazzling Golden Spin, featuring Eternal Season Series Skins like Miya ‘Arrow of Springs’ and Floryn ‘Herald of Autumn.’ The skins can be previewed in the official trailer for Golden Month. Furthermore, the event will bring free Hanabi skins, including ‘Twin Crescent’ and ‘Neonscape Icon.’
MLBB Esports in 2026
2026 began with the M7 World Championship, the culminating event of the 2025 esports season, which ran from January 3rd to 25th. Aurora PH walked away victorious after defeating Alter Ego 4-0 in the Grand Finals, securing the lion’s share of its $1m (~£731,000) prize pool.
The 2026 esports roadmap was revealed following the championship, which will see the scene transition over to a five-region structure. The season will conclude with the M8 World Championship in January 2027, across Thailand and Turkey.
MOONTON Games’ MOBA title will also feature in other esports events this year, including becoming one of the 16 titles featured in the inaugural Esports Nations Cup and being a medal event in the 2026 Asian Games.
