Lando Norris-owned gaming and esports organisation Quadrant has been announced as a partner team of the Halo Championship Series (HCS).

Quadrant becomes the tenth organisation to become a HCS partner team, joining the likes of FaZe Clan, Optic Gaming and Cloud9, among others.

As a result of its new status, the organisation will gain benefits such as in-game items, event activations and hosted tournaments. According to the announcement, Quadrant skins and unlockables will be available next year in Year 2 of the HCS season.

Earlier in the year, HCS announced that it would be expanding its partner team programme to include 1-3 teams for Year 2. In the following months, notable organisations within the scene, like Pioneers and Ascend, announced that they were not selected as partner teams. It is not clear whether Quadrant will be the only team announced as an HCS partner.

Tahir ‘Tashi’ Hasandjekic, Esports and Viewership Lead at 343 Industries/Microsoft, said: “The initial success of Halo Infinite esports has been unprecedented in the franchise’s history and we’re thrilled to be adding a team with the calibre of Quadrant, who have already invested heavily in the Halo community and ecosystem.

“Their driven leadership has a clear vision, and we believe in the long-term potential for this partnership to elevate both Quadrant and Halo Infinite by delivering epic entertainment to fans around the globe.”

Hasandjekic spoke to Esports Insider earlier this year to discuss Halo esports’ commitment to transparency.

To celebrate the organisation’s partnership, Norris will wear a Master Chief-inspired race helmet during sessions of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, taking place September 30th-October 2nd. A scaled version of the helmet will also be sold across the Grand Prix weekend.

Quadrant announced its entry into Halo last year. The HCS was the organisation’s first foray into esports. Since entering the scene, Quadrant has gone on to finish second at HCS Valencia 2022.
