South Asian esports company NODWIN Gaming and Indian sports broadcaster Star Sports have announced the second season of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS).

The Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament will see 24 teams compete for INR 2.1 crore (~£199,000) in prize money.

The teams participating in the second season of BGMS will be decided through a mixture of qualifiers and invitations. 14 team will receive direct invitations from NODWIN Gaming while the remaining ten places will be determined through qualifiers open to anyone in India.

In addition, NODWIN Gaming has also unveiled motorcycle manufacturer TVS Motor Company as the official mobility partner, joining streaming platform Rooter on the BGMS partnership roster.

Star Sports aims to provide more viewing options for BGMS Season 2. The broadcaster and NODWIN Gaming plan to broadcast the tournament in Hindi, English, and Tamil to ‘connect esports with viewers from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds’.

NODWIN Gaming and Star Sports first collaborated in June 2022 for the first BGMS event. According to a release, the inaugural tournament accumulated over 36m viewers across the broadcaster’s channels and streaming platforms.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, spoke on the news: “Last year, we took a bold and historical leap of faith by airing the BGMI Masters Series on primetime television with our partners Star Sports. That leap turned out to be an incredible success.

“BGMS season 2 doubles down on our commitment to bringing the epitome of BGMI esports to the masses. We have a larger prize pool, larger participation base, and larger distribution with all our partners.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
