Esports company GGTech Entertainment has named Cristina Carranza as its Head of Global Sales.

In her role, Carranza will aim to strengthen the group’s expansion into new markets, with a specific focus on the United States.

Carranza joins GGTech Entertainment after nearly a decade working as an Account Director at Amazon and Twitch. Her achievements include the launch of Twitch Ads in Spain, alongside the development of global programmes including Amazon University Esports.

As Head of Global Sales, Carranza will work with Eduardo Garcia, who joined GGTech Entertainment in July 2023 as its Chief Product Officer. In addition to focusing on the US market, Carranza will aim to boost the growth of the company in addition to developing relationships with other companies.

The appointment comes after GGTech Entertainment secured a $12.4m (~£9.99m) investment in June 2023. The investment aims to focus on the company’s expansion into North America along with accelerating its presence within Europe, Latin America, and MENA regions.

As part of its expansion into North America, GGTech Entertainment partnered with Riot Games in a three-year deal where it will provide the publisher with a collegiate esports programme for VALORANT.

UK-based university esports company NUEL was acquired by GGTech Entertainment in May 2023.

GGTech’s newly appointed Head of Sales, Carranza, spoke on the role: “I have been working with GGTech for more than four years and I have fallen in love with their company culture, the great human quality of their team and their vision of what they want GGTech to become.

“I am proud to be part of this project, developing the global sales and business strategy.”

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
